2016 KYACAC Pre-Conference Activity Registration

Registration

  • Taste your way through tours of two Owensboro craft breweries. Tour departs from conference registration at 2:15 p.m., tastings included and both venues are within walking distance of the hotels.

    Tour stops:
    CYO Brewing
    Gambrinus Libation Emporium
  • Experience walking tours of two campuses in the Owensboro area. Tour departs from conference registration at 12:45 p.m., transportation is provided. There is no cost for this event.

    Tour stops:
    Kentucky Wesleyan College
    Brescia University
  • Hit the links at Ben Hawes Golf Course. Tee time is 10:00 a.m., participants should meet at the golf course. Fee includes 18 holes and cart rental.

Pre-Conference Activities

 

 

Pick out a pre-conference option starting on Tuesday, March 14 or Wednesday, March 15 and spend time networking with colleagues or exploring the Louisville area. Options include:

 

 Tuesday, March 14th

 

 

Urban Bourbon Tour: Join us as we sip on Bourbon at three of the five original bars that are part of the Urban Bourbon Trail of Louisville. Tour departs at 5:00p.m. 

 

 

UPS Tour: Tour departs at 10:00p.m.

 

 

  

Wednesday, March 15th

 

 

Guiding the Way to Inclusion Workshop:  This workshop is a first for KYACAC and will provide 3 hours of professional development for participants.  Come and receive information and tips to both sides of the desk for how to advise various underrepresented populations, such as First Generation students, Undocumented students, low-income students, LGBTQ students, Students of Color, etc.; the workshop will include information related to Admissions and Financial Aid. Workshop begins at 8:00a.m.
